Guest Lecture on Bhimrupi Maharudra - BHIM App

MMS department of RMCET, Ambav has conducted a guest lecture on Bhimrupi Maharudra i.e. BHIM App on 22nd February 2018 for All Students of RMCET and All Teaching & Non-Teaching staff of RMCET.

                                                             Resource Person:

Mr. Chandrshekhar Thakur is an X-head Education Investor at CDSL. Previously when he was working with Bank of India, he had been appointed at clearing house where he gets interested in share market, mutual funds, future & options, etc. Based on this interest he up brings his career in Digital India. He has conducted more than 1,345 lectures on investment awareness. After demonetization, he is wondering all over the world to create awareness about Bhimrupi Maharudra BHIM app.

Introduction:

BHIM (Bharat Interface for Money) is a mobile app developed by National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI), based on the Unified Payment Interface (UPI). It was launched by Honorable Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi at a Digi Dhan Mela at Talkatora Stadium in New Delhi on 30/12/2016. It is intended to facilitate e-payments directly through banks as a part of demonetization and drive towards cashless transactions.

Objectives:

• To create awareness about BHIM app & digital services at college students & faculties too.
• To promote India’s move towards becoming a cashless economy & cashless society.
• To learn how to make easy & quick payments/ transactions using UPI.
• To understand utilization of BHIM app and also to remove hesitation of doing cashless transactions.

Session:

Starting with a brief introduction about BHIM app, Mr. Chandrshekhar Thakur has explained how to install this application from play store & how to link our bank account with this app through mobile no.

        

He explained each & every detail about the utilization of BHIM app in very simple & understandable language. He also suggests all of us to share this information and this presentation with others to enhance the focus on cashless society.

It was an initiative taken by MMS HOD Mr. Mahavir Salvi to enable fast, secure, reliable cashless payments through mobile phone. This seminar helped all of our students, teaching & non teaching staff members to create awareness about cashless transactions & digital India.

Same program was conducted at evening for business persons in Devrukh along with the hands of Lion’s Club, Devrukh.
